MEDICAL DOCTOR
All Norwegian citizens are obliged to apply for their own personal medical doctor/GP. As for international students, you can apply as soon as you have received your personal number. Once this is in your hands, get in touch with SiHa and we'll help you apply.

URGENT MATTERS
If you need a doctor urgently, the local hospital is the best alternative provided it is after 4pm or during week ends or holidays (i.e. when ordinary medical centres are closed). For urgent medical matters during working hours, get in touch with us.

DENTIST
SiHa has an  with two dental clinics:

 TADRI AS. It is situated approx 3 km from HiH. Should you need a dentist, get in touch with us or call TADRI directly on  770 18 100.

Harstad Tannhelsesenter AS . Situated approx 10 minutes walk from HiH. Discount 10% for students.  
Full check, x ray nok 500,- for students (normal price 800,-)  

Please be aware of the fact that dentists in Norway are all private practices and as opposed to doctors, are without financial support from the state. This means that it is rather expensive to visit a Norwegian dentist.  

SPESIFIC NEEDS IN YOUR STUDENT HOME
Should you have any specific needs related to your lodging due to a medical condition, then do not forget to state this in your application form and enclose a doctor's confirmation We will do our best to help you!

REFUNDING HEALTH EXPENSES
Should you visit a dentist, a physioterapist, a doctor etc. while you are a student in Harstad you should

take care of all receipts and bring them to us at SiHa. You may be eligable for compensation. You'll find more info here.
